Privately Owned General Fort Hood Recreational Horseback riding available - For Fort Hood Area Access privately owned horseback riding, pre-registration is required. Contact the Sportsmen's Center at 254-532-4552 for further details.

Attire:
To enhance your experience, long pants and long sleeved shirts are recommended. Open-toe shoes and bathing suits are not allowed on the trails.

Privately Owned Horses:
Trails are available for privately owned horses meeting Post Vet requirements during normal operating hours. Daily riding fee is $3 per horse.

Post Vet Requirements:
A current rabies vaccine, current tetanus vaccine, and proof of negative coggins (all given within the last 12 months) are required for any horse participating in a BLORA Ranch activity. Proof must be presented at BLORA Ranch at the time of patronage. Horses without requirements will not be allowed at BLORA Ranch.

Closures:
Environmental weather conditions may result in periodic closures of the ranch, without notice, should riding conditions be determined unsafe for patrons.

All recreational activity on Fort Hood is only authorized by the Area Access Program. Contact the Sportsmen's Center at (254) 532-4552 or (254) 287-5847 for more details.

Examples of authorized recreational activities include, but not limited to: sightseeing, bird watching, horseback riding, hiking, biking, hunting & fishing.
