Cherry Poppin’ Daddies Bio
The Daddies brand of high-energy swing music has for years had the unique ability to bring generations together. It’s the only band around where high school aged Psychobilly scenesters and their grandparents can come together dancing in the same audience. As a result, the Daddies have an impressive range of popularity that makes them a hit with colleges, festivals, casinos and fairs. Onstage, the Daddies have enough of an edge to not come off as bland or plastic, and more than enough chops, class and style to satisfy any orthodox jazz fanatic.

The band emerged in the late 80’s with a style that wed the energy of contemporary rock and roll with influences from the golden age of the American songbook- the 30’s and 40’s. Prime compositional influences include: Fletcher Henderson, Jimmie Lunceford, Duke Ellington, and Louis Jordan. In addition to a main course of very hip influences, the Daddies don’t hesitate to garnish the plate with touches of more exotic fare: Jamaican Ska, Flamenco, Samba, Rockabilly, Soca, and even Glam Rock!

Their classic album of 1998, Zoot Suit Riot- The Swingin’ Hits of the Cherry Poppin’ Daddies, went double platinum. Propelled by the mega hit single that has become one of those staples in the canon of fun American pop; Zoot Suit Riot still hangs in there right alongside Celebration and YMCA on wedding reception DJ’s playlists, and sporting events, from sea to shining sea.

Anchored Bio
Texas has been known to breed some of the loudest and hard rockin’ bands on the planet, and this new gang of five is definitely no exception. Straight out of the saloons and strip clubs comes Anchored, a hard-edged rock unit that packs as much pop as their punch with their infectious brand of “Dirty Southern Modern Rock”. Crossing the tainted lines between Shinedown, Nickelback and Stone Temple Pilots, these Dallas transplants will be bringing their Southern noise to the masses everybody is invited!

Anchored formed in the spring of 2009 as a new project by singer Brandan Narrell after a chance meeting with guitarist B.G. Simpson. The two sparked a friendship and partnership after being introduced by Splender leader Waymon Boone. Joining the tandem is drummer Matty Clark, bassist Josh Franklin and guitarist Joel Estes rounding out the quintet.

Anchored’s new single “Last Night” is at radio now and is already at No. 3 on the MediaBase Active Rock independent chart. “Last Night” is the follow up to the band’s first single “Dirty In Texas (D.I.T.)” which hit No. 5 on the Media Base Active Rock independent chart.

With a dynamic range from anthemic rockers like the ode to Texas “Dirty…” and melodic second single, “Last Night”, Get ready for a rockin’ hangover as the Anchored boys will be crashing any and all parties in sight for 2011 and beyond.

Ordain Bio
Ordain began in 2001 as the brainchild of front man Scott Lathwood. Scott, accompanied by guitarist Trent Pipson, moved to Melbourne, Australia, where Aussie Matt Olthof joined up. Since that time, rock band Ordain has been feeding ideas and emotions into quality songs designed to excite, sadden and give hope to a broad listening audience, saluting the musical legends that once traveled a similar journey. With a unique brand of progressive rock, Ordain's music displays the band’s passion for creativity and high standard of musicianship. The band strives for optimal musical originality while injecting a raw passion and powerful dynamic range into their songs. Ordain enjoyed success in their home base of Australia, where they placed three top-five songs on Australian Broadcast Company station JJJ. During this time Ordain played in front of crowds in excess of 25,000 at the New Zealand Parachute Rock Festival. Now based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Ordain has begun to make their mark on North America. They are now joined on drums by Canadian Jeremy Burton.

The band has recently completed its third U.S. tour, which included appearances on Good Day Austin in Austin, TX, WGN 9 in Chicago, IL, and KLTD 101.7 The Eagle in Temple, TX. The band also headlined rock night at the 5th Annual Bloomin’ Temple Festival, which has resulted in a significant increase in the band’s fan base in that area. From generating airplay to playing some great gigs, Ordain has made its presence known to North America.

Watch for Ordain in a city near you for their Summer 2011 Tour!
