Apache Arts & CraftsThe Apache Arts & Crafts Center is a state-of-the-art facility for all your artistic ambitions, be they fashioning a treasure box in the wood shop or creating a ceramic masterpiece.  We have something to suit everyone's needs. No time to do it yourself?  Let our craftsmen design and produce your memento or gift for any occasion in our embroidery, silk screen, plaque or multi-crafts.

The room offers a quiet area with all the art materials (pens, pencils, markers, paints, chalks, clays, beads, feathers, buttons, yarns, thread and all types of paper) for Soldiers to create whatever comes to mind.

There will be no instructors, no set projects to make and no interference from anyone, just a quiet room to sit and relax and/or create. Soldiers may take their work with them or leave it at the center to be displayed and provide inspiration for others that use the facility.

The Resiliency Art Room will be open Tuesday – Friday, from 10 am - 5 pm. Soldiers will be asked to sign in at the Apache Arts & Crafts sales store prior to utilizing the Resiliency Art Room.

Arts and Crafts Supply Store. Best prices in town to purchase ceramic slip, paints and glazes, stain glass and scrapbooking supplies. Also stock NFL items, tools for various crafts and many other fun crafts supplies. The sales store is the place to SIGN UP for all classes.

MULTI-CRAFTS, (254) 287-0344
This unique shop offers a wide variety of custom-made, laser-engraved, hand-crafted plaques. Able to engrave on many materials including wood, acrylic, glass and leather. Hat racks, coin racks, NCO creed books, unit bulletin boards, dog tags, photo on mug, personalized mouse pads and magnets, trophies and plaques. All special orders must be placed at least 6 weeks in advance. Larger projects require additional time.

Just received a new CNC Router Engraver, which provides endless capabilities to create 3D signs and designs.

Screen print any design on T-shirts or tote bags. The shop can create your special event T-shirt. Minimum order of 50 items required. 100% White t-shirts starting at $6 each - No set up / artwork fees. 100% Colored t-shirts starting at $8 each - No set up / artwork fees

Choose from over 50,000 ready designs. One time $75 digitizing fee per design. We can scan, digitize and embroider your own design or logo for you and your company. Wide variety of shirts, hats and aprons in stock – currently 50% off in stock items. Embroidery can be done on polos, t-shirts, hats, jackets, baby blankets, golf bags, aprons, and towels. Custom made Guidons are our specialty. Monogramming, heat transfers, sewing and embossing available.

Framing Bench Fees $5 per hour not to exceed $30 per day

Custom framing for any of your framing needs: certificates with pins, wedding photos, diplomas, prints and posters. Ability to stretch canvas prints. Lamination and stenciling service available. Computerized mat cutter with endless design possibilities. Wide variety of Civil War to Operation Iraqi Freedom prints available. Great selection of moulding and mats to choose from. Military units given first priority. Metal plates can be made in the framing department. Canvas stretching and framed mirrors are also available. Best pricing in Central Texas for Custom Framing Services.

Just received a new laser-inked banner machine that can create full size color photo banners for all special events.

CERAMIC DEPARTMENT, (254) 287-4070

The largest selection of ceramic molds in Texas to choose from – over 6,000 molds. Animals, vases, canisters, dragons, beads, garden accessories, plaques, holiday pieces, chess sets and more. Shop available for patrons to pour, clean, fire, glaze and paint in a pleasant atmosphere. Instructor available to assist with your ceramic needs. Special Learn-To-Paint classes offered each month. Banners,magnets, stain-glass and glass etching services available in this department.

Special FRG ceramic class. $10 per student, with a minimum of four students and a maximum of five students. Call for info and scheduling.

CERAMIC BIRTHDAY PARTY Book your child's ceramic birthday party at the arts and crafts center. Parent can book any Saturday with 2 different time frames, 10 am - 1 pm or 2 pm - 5 pm

Only Ceramics Class price includes cost of materials, supplies are additional for all other classes unless indicated.

Ceramic Class, (254) 287-4070
Every Saturday at Noon - 2 p.m. Cost is $29 including tools and one box of slip (liquid clay). Thousands of molds to choose, for any occasion or holiday. An expert is on hand to answer questions. Kiln firing is available. Firing days are Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, with a two-day turnaround. Firing fee is .10 cent / inch.

Ceramic Painting Classes are given every 3rd Thursday from 1 – 2:30 pm. Various painting techniques taught. Cost is $49.

Wood Shop Currently Closed: until repairs to dust collection system are completed.

Wood Shop Class, (254) 287-2211

$49. Orientation / Safety Class offered every Saturday from noon – 2 pm. The safety class is mandatory to use the wood shop and equipment. The wood shop is equipped with a multitude of industrial woodworking tools. A wide selection of hardwoods / furniture grade woods available for purchase. Learn to make a bread box, crib, entertainment center, coffee table or create your own design. Instructor is available to assist and answer questions. Once safety course is taken, shop is open to be used at your leisure during operating yours.

Basic Framing, (254) 287-2243
$99, not including materials. Framing orientation and safety classes every 1st Saturday of the month 1-5pm. Class limit is four. Student must bring an item smaller than 11” x 14” to frame. No limited edition prints or artist originals will be done at this class. No open toe shoes for safety reason. No children under 13 allowed. Register at the sales store prior to class date.

Wizard Mat Cutting Class, (254) 287-2243
Must have already completed basic framing class to take this course. $49 + mats. Student will learn how to use the computerized mat cutter to create unique custom mats. One project per class and paid upon completion. No limited edition prints or artist originals will be done at this class. Wizard will not be available on Saturday during framing class. No open toe shoes for safety reason. No children under 13 allowed. Clean up, 30 minutes before close of business day.

Fourth Saturday of every month Classes, 10 am – 3 pm

From the beginner to advanced scrapbooker! Bring your supplies and have a fun day of scrapping! $10/person

Apache Arts and Crafts Center can make your unit coin for you. Bring us your artwork and we will have your order ready in three weeks, after approval of final artwork. (250 minimum coin order). Coins are two-sided and come in 11/2, 13/4 and 2 inch sizes. You have option of color, epoxy and diamond edging. Call 254-532-5286 for more information

Bench fees (fees for use of shop and equipment) are charged in each department you work in. After initial safety orientation class, you can work at your leisure in framing, ceramics or wood shop.

Bench fees are the following:

  • Ceramic Bench fees assessed $3 per hour not to exceed $15 per day
  • Kiln Firing fees will be .15 cents per inch
  • Framing Bench Fees $5 per hour not to exceed $30 per day
  • Wood Shop $3 per hour not to exceed $15 per day
