Reunion Training for Families  - Establish realistic expectations about reunion, recognize symptoms of stress and identify helpful and reliable sources of assistance. This training consists of a power point presentation and an 8 minute video tape, and includes home coming and reunion handouts.

This training must be provided for unit Family Members before the unit returns as outlined in the Deployment Cycle Support Contingency Plan (CDSCONPLAN).

Reunion Training for Families is best received about 30 days in advance of the units return.

R&R Reunion Training – Helps Family Members establish realistic expectations about the R&R leave program and will help Family Members understand the unique dynamics of the two week reunion.

R&R Reunion training is best received soon after the unit Family Members are notified that their Soldiers will be returning on R&R.

Coordination should be made two weeks in advance to allow for proper scheduling.

The above briefings are available for FRGs by calling 288-5155, e-mail here. Requesting unit is responsible to provide audio visual equipment. Please include the unit, date, time and location of the briefing. Unit Rear Detachment Commander/NCOIC should be the requestor.
